Session 7 - Laboratory Work, collecting and testing evidence

The girls took their fingerprints and identified which type they are, they tested soil from the suspects' shoes and tested them using a flame test, they were then able to eliminate one of the suspects' from their enquiries. The next stage was tinkle testing, samples of urine had been collected and the girls tested for protein and glucose and found out the pH level. (Don't worry, the urine wasn't real!)

Finally the girls compared the results from Mrs Robinson's fountain pen with that of the suspects' pens and deduced that Tilly Type was the villain.

Well done girls, Mrs Robinson will be delighted that you solved the mystery at Merchant Taylors'
